THE STORY OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOGI BHAJAN SINGH AND GURU DEV SINGH
Guru Dev Singh (1948–2021), born in Puebla, Mexico, was deeply influenced by the indigenous traditions of his homeland and Kundalini Yoga, which he began practicing in 1971 under Yogi Bhajan. Known for learning through silent transmission, he became the master of Sat Nam Rasayan, tasked by Yogi Bhajan in 1992 with preserving its teachings.
Guru Dev founded the International School for Sat Nam Rasayan in Rome and was recognized globally for integrating spiritual healing with traditional methods. His legacy continues through the teachings and practices he established until his passing in 2021.
Guru Dev Singh (1948–2021) was born in Puebla, Mexico, during a time when the youth of Mexico were rediscovering the spiritual roots of their country. He was drawn to the indigenous traditions of his homeland, studying under a Mexican medicine healer and later, embracing Kundalini Yoga in 1971 after meeting Yogi Bhajan.
By 1978, he had begun to learn Sat Nam Rasayan from Yogi Bhajan in silence, a method allowing a deep connection to the Sacred Space. This experience led to Yogi Bhajan abruptly ending the formal teaching, marking Guru Dev Singh’s transition towards mastery. Recognizing his potential, Yogi Bhajan entrusted him in 1992 with the responsibility of preserving the lineage and teachings of Sat Nam Rasayan. Guru Dev Singh embraced this role wholeheartedly, moving to Rome, where he established the International School for Sat Nam Rasayan and later the Sat Nam Rasayan Foundation in Amsterdam.
Throughout his life, Guru Dev Singh became a revered figure in the global spiritual and healing community, known for his compassionate approach, integrating humor and deep insight into his teachings. His commitment to spreading the knowledge of Sat Nam Rasayan was recognized in 2001 when he received an honorary doctorate from the faculty of medicine at the open university of Colombo ( in Sri Lanka) for his outstanding contributions to natural medicine.
Guru Dev Singh passed away on April 5, 2021, leaving a lasting legacy in the spiritual and healing arts, celebrated and continued by his students worldwide.

Hari Nam Kaur
Hari Nam met Guru Dev Singh when she was 23 years old in an open class in Sat Nam Rasayan. He gave her her first meditation and introduced her to (and married them) Hari Singh. She felt an instant belonging to the teachings and to Guru Dev Singh.
On one Holliday in Cancun, where Yogi Bhajan was, he told Guru Dev Singh that she needed to follow him and learn all that he knows to her, and that’s where she, with her husband and two kids, followed him closely for the next 25 years, serving him and learning from him as a daughter, pupil, and teacher to continue his teachings.
She spent many months in the beginning years living with Yogi Bhajan who thought her much about relationships and woman and business.
